Required Application Materials for IMBA Program

(Prepared for Applicants from National Kaohsiung First Univ. of Science & Technology)

This document details the materials that must be received before an admissions decision can be made and before immigration documents necessary for the J-1 visa can be created and mailed to admitted students. Submission of incomplete applications will significantly slow down the application process and may result in visa and travel delays that will impact a student’s ability to arrive in time to start the program. Please read this document carefully and contact your UMSL IMBA Coordinator with any questions.

Documents Necessary for Admission:

1. Application Form: A PDF version of the application is available online at the link below. Applicants can also apply online. If applying online, applicants must select “J-1” as their visa type and indicate in the purpose statement that they are applying for the IMBA program.

2. Application Fee: $40 for international applicants (pay online when you apply for this program, by credit card)

3. Official Transcripts: Please have each university or college you have attended send your academic records to the address indicated on page two of this sheet. These documents must be received from each institute of higher education that you have attended beyond senior high school. The certificate of degree conferral for each post-secondary program that you have completed must be included with the transcripts. Applicants must also submit transcripts of their coursework done at First Tech. At the time of your application, please submit a current transcript that shows the work that has already been completed as well as your courses that are in progress. During your first semester at UMSL, you will be required to submit a “final” transcript that shows the grades received for the courses that were in progress at the time of your application. All transcripts and certificates must be issued in Chinese and be accompanied by an English translation. All of your post-secondary education must be listed on your application for admission (e.g. each school you attended beyond senior high school).

4. TOEFL Scores: Please have your official scores sent from ETS. Our school Code is 6889

5. GMAT Scores: Please have your official scores sent from ETS. Use program code: DRC-RX-58 MBA, Evening.

(Note: GPA should be also higher than 3.0 before the semester you're coming! IELTS is also accepted, stander: Band Mark: 6.0)

9. A Note about Educational Backgrounds: The policies of the Graduate School state that “the University of Missouri-St. Louis admits qualified individuals to study for graduate degrees and certificates. Students with a bachelor's degree or the equivalent from an accredited college or university may apply for admission to the Graduate School. Applicants may be denied admission if (a) they do not meet admission standards, (b) there are no available openings, or (c) applications are incomplete at the time of the decision.” Students who do not hold the academic equivalent of a US bachelor’s degree from a recognized university may still submit their applications for consideration, however admission to the IMBA program is not guaranteed. (In short:  your official transcript and diploma in the original language and in English must be submitted. )
